A national level symposium on ‘Sustainability and Educational Institutions’ was held in Kolkata. The Symposium was highly successful in bringing together informative and meaningful dialogues among renowned architects, educationists, journalists, lawyers, industrialists and government officials involved in the work of physical development. The event got a wide media coverage and gained much public support particularly from people concerned with higher education and environment. When ample debates and assumptions are being expressed on the types and nature of development everywhere, the symposium was relevant in time and space of its occurrence.
